Sales & Customer Service Representative

1.Mission

 

As a Hardwood Giant Sales & Customer Service representative, your role is to drive sales by providing exceptional customer support to our valuable customers for their flooring projects, from inception to completion.

Your main mission is to ensure current customers have the right products and services, identify new markets and customer leads, and pitch prospective customers.

 

2.Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • Promote HG products and services.
  • Educate and describe customers about Hardwood Giant Products and Services.
  • Serve customers by selling products meeting their needs.
  • Service existing accounts, obtains orders, and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing or potential customers.
  • Inform existing and potential customers about special offers.
  • Complete all other duties as assigned by your Sales Manager.
  • Keeps management informed by submitting activity and results reports, such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analyses.
  • Achieve individual sales targets to support overall department and organizational goals.
  • Clean and Organize store. Lift heavy boxes to ensure proper organization of the store.
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by using the right methods/tools
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customers through open and interactive communication.
  • Maintaining a positive, empathetic and professional attitude toward customers at all times.
  • Communicating with customers through various channels

Resolves customer complaints in a timely and professional manner by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports, and making recommendations to management.

Previous sales experience within the flooring industry (preferred).

 

4. Profile Required

 

  • One to two years experience working in a sales-driven environment (required).
  • A willingness to grow as a flooring sales consultant.
  • The ability to WOW Customers in person, over the phone or email.
  • A genuine passion to help those around you.
  • The ability to genuinely listen to customers, formulating a personalized response to their needs.
  • The curiosity to understand how things work with the intention of improving service.
  • Recognize the importance of excellence in professional communication in the Canadian workplace
  • Practice the art of active listening and reading to better absorb information and build stronger relationships with the customer.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different personality types.

Warehouse Manager

1.Mission

 

As a Harwood Giant warehouse Manager, your role is to complete various management, organization, and planning tasks to maintain high performance of the warehouse’s storage and shipment processes.

In general, your main responsibility is to provide materials, equipment, and supplies by directing receiving, warehousing, and distribution services.

 

2.Roles and Responsibilities

 

  • People management skills, including the ability to inspire, lead and motivate a team of people, delegate work and explain ideas
  • Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
  • Ensure that all products and items received are sorted, labeled, and stored in an orderly fashion according to company policies and standards.
  • Issuing lists of incoming shipments and items and handing them to receiving personnel.
  • Setup layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts. inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
  • Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety.
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees, following up on work results.
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and transport companies.
  • Prepare list of outgoing shipments according to customer’s requests.
  • Assigning time sheets and work schedules to Warehouse Workers.
  • Assist Warehouse Workers with their tasks when necessary.
  • Train new employees.

Previous sales experience within the flooring industry (preferred).

  • Proven work experience as a Warehouse Manager
  • Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices.
  • Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Hands on experience with warehouse management software and databases.
  • Leadership skills and ability to manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Valid drivers’ license.
